Intense Chocolate Mousse

This Chocolate Mousse with two ingredients has an intense flavor and is somewhat thicker than other mousses. This recipe is made for dark chocolate lovers. It does not have added sugar or cream like many recipes have, so it's less sweet but not less delicious. This recipe has nothing to envy of other Chocolate Mousses.

Normally, chocolate mousse recipes need about 4-5 hours of refrigeration. But this recipe only requires one hour in the refrigerator.

You only need two ingredients to make this Mousse!

To make this recipe, you only need to have some eggs (at room temperature) and dark chocolate on hand. I have used 75% dark chocolate. 🙂

How to make Chocolate Mousse with two ingredients

Melt the chocolate au bain-marie or in the microwave. If you melt it in the microwave, take it out from time to time and make sure it doesn't burn. Or if you have a microwave where you can select to melt chocolate, there is nothing to worry about.

While the chocolate melts, separate the eggs and whip the egg whites until stiff with an electric mixer on medium speed. When separating the eggs, be careful that there are no traces of yolk in the egg whites. This can make it difficult to whip the whites.

When the chocolate is completely melted, beat the yolks lightly with a fork and add them to the chocolate little by little while incorporating them.

Once you have the chocolate mixed with the yolks, carefully incorporate half of the whipped egg whites with a spatula. When it's mixed well, gradually add the rest of the egg whites.

Serve the mousse in containers of the size you like best, cover them with plastic wrap and refrigerate them for approximately one hour.

Enjoy them as is or decorate them with fruit, whipped cream or whatever you like best.
