Vegan Oreo Cake

What I love about this Vegan Oreo Cake

There are several reasons why this Vegan Oreo Cake is made year after year at my home.

  • It's quick and easy to make. This Vegan Oreo Cake is soooo easy to make. You just add all the ingredients to a bowl, mix it and put in the oven. Once the chocolate cake is done and cooled down, you make the buttercream frosting and add lots of crushed oreos.
  • It has a huge amount of oreos. I imagine that if you are reading this, you are an oreo lover, or you are looking to prepare it for an oreo lover. You're lucky, this Vegan Oreos Cake has a large amount of oreos.
  • No one will believe this cake is vegan. This cake is so delicious that no one will believe that they are eating a vegan cake. The delicious moist sponge cake and Oreo buttercream will make it hard to convince your family or guests that it's dairy and egg free.
  • It looks very nice. For some reason, this cake always impresses everyone, it's big and pretty. I'm sure your guests won't believe what they see!

Ingredients for the cake – dry ingredients:

  • Flour: you need 3 cups of all-purpose flour for the cake
  • Cocoa: use pure cocoa powder to prepare the chocolate cake, you need a cup of cocoa
  • Baking powder: use 1 bag of baking powder
  • Salt: add 1/4 teaspoon of salt to enhance the flavor

Ingredients for the cake – wet ingredients:

  • Applesauce: it may seem strange to you to have to use applesauce to make a cake. Applesauce is an egg substitute and you need one cup. You can buy applesauce in most supermarkets.
  • Plant based milk: to make this cake you need 3 cups of non-dairy milk, I use soy milk because it is a little thicker and I like the flavor better. But, you can use any plant based milk.
  • Sugar: you need 2 cups of sugar to make this cake
  • Vanilla aroma: add 1 teaspoon of vanilla aroma

For the oreo buttercream:

  • Margarine: you need a cup of dairy free margarine to prepare the buttercream
  • Powdered sugar: don't panic, and yes, this tart is a calorie bomb, but trust me, it will be worth it. You need 3 cups of powdered sugar
  • Oreo cookies: you need 2 packages of oreo cookies, each package of oreo has 14 cookies, therefore, you need 28 cookies. To crush them I have used several methods, put them little by little in the vegetable chopper, put them in the blender, break them by hand... But the best way is to put it on a large cutting board and cut them with a large knife, for me, it is the best way
  • Vanilla aroma: add some vanilla aroma drops

Decoration:

  • Oreo cookies: you can decorate the cake by putting some oreo cookies on top
