Homemade burgers taste much better than the burgers you can get at fast food restaurants. And not only that, you know exactly what they have. These burgers are not only delicious and healthier, but they are also very economical.

Delicious and very economical Homemade Burgers

There are thousands of hamburger recipes on Google, this recipe is the one you need if you want to make simple and economical homemade hamburgers. And above all they are soooo delicious.

Hamburger buns are very easy to make and you need few ingredients. Since they do not contain eggs, milk or butter, they are much cheaper than buns that do contain these ingredients. Despite needing few ingredients to make these hamburger buns, they taste very good. They are soft but firm, with these buns your burgers will not fall apart.

The burgers also have few ingredients, which you probably already have at home and are delicious. The good thing is that they don't fall apart easily.

You can add the sauces and ingredients you prefer, in this case, I have used homemade mayonnaise (some also have ketchup and mustard), lettuce, tomato and cheddar cheese.

How to Make Budget-Friendly Hamburger Buns Without Milk, Eggs, or Butter

Making soft hamburger buns with just a few ingredients is possible, I'll explain how. With this recipe I have made 8 buns of which I have used 6 for this recipe and have saved two.

Ingredients you need to make cheap hamburger buns

  • 500 grams all-purpose flour
  • 12 grams of baker's yeast (1 tablespoon)
  • 25 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 60 milliliters of sunflower oil (1/4 cup)
  • 10 grams of salt
  • 300 milliliters of water
  • sesame seeds

Instructions for making hamburger buns

Mix the flour, baker's yeast and sugar. Then add the baking powder, mix and add the oil. Coat the flour well with the oil. Add the salt and about 3/4 of the water, knead and add the rest of the water little by little.

Knead until you obtain a flexible and slightly sticky dough. If it sticks too much, add a little more flour, if on the other hand it is very dry, add a little more water.

Put it in a lightly greased (with sunflower oil) bowl, cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for 1-2 hours.

When it has doubled in size, make 8 balls of the dough (you can make 6 a little larger ones if you prefer to have 6 loaves instead of 8). Place them on a baking tray, flatten them slightly and cover them with a kitchen towel for about 45 minutes.

Paint them with water and decorate with sesame seeds. Bake them at 180º for about 10-14 minutes.

When you take the tray out of the oven, cover it with a kitchen towel. This will make them softer.

How to make homemade hamburgers

It's much better to make burgers at home than to buy them pre-made. The ones you buy pre-made have many additives and ingredients that are not necessary. The ones you make at home also have a much richer flavor. With this recipe you make 6 burgers.

Ingredients you need to make homemade burgers

  • 400 grams of minced beef
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
  • 1 medium egg

Instructions for making homemade burgers

Mix all the ingredients, divide the meat into 6 and shape into a hamburger.

Cook them until they are golden brown on both sides.

Extra ingredients

  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard
  • cheddar cheese
