Ingredients you need to make this Healthy and Delicious Granola
To prepare granola at home, you need basic ingredients that you will find in any supermarket. I share the ingredients, but remember that you can make it to your liking.
- Oats: oats are the main ingredient of this granola
- Agave syrup: I use agave syrup for its low glycemic index, you can buy this in any supermarket
- Coconut oil: I usually use coconut oil, but when I don't have any left, I use extra virgin olive oil, the result will be great with any of these oils
- Pumpkin seeds
- Sunflower seeds
- Almonds
- Fruit cocktail: this is a bag of mixed dehydrated fruit, such as coconut, papaya, pineapple, raisins... that they sell in most supermarkets. To make it cheaper, choose two dried fruits and buy them in separate bags
- Vanilla aroma: if you like the vanilla flavor and you have it at home, add a few drops. If you don't have it on hand, it's okay, the granola will turn out great anyway
- Salt: and finally, a pinch of salt to enhance its flavor
Kitchen utensils you need to make this Healthy & Delicious Granola
To prepare Granola you need basic kitchen utensils that any kitchen has.
- Bowl: you will have to mix everything in a large bowl
- Kitchen scale: use a kitchen scale to weigh all the ingredients you need
- Large oven tray: use a large baking tray or two medium ones, you need to be able to put the mixture on the tray in a thin layer
- Baking Paper: use baking paper so that the granola does not stick to the tray

How to make Healthy & Delicious Granola at home
It is as easy as putting the oven to preheat to 200º. While the oven is preheating, add the wet ingredients in a bowl, the coconut oil, the agave syrup, the vanilla drops and a pinch of salt. Once mixed, add all the other ingredients except the dried fruit. You will put the dehydrated fruit at the end.
Put baking paper on the baking tray and put the mixture you just made on top. Make sure everything fits together in a thin layer.
Next, bake for 10 minutes, once this time has passed, take it out and stir the granola. Put it another 5 minutes in the oven. Remember that each oven is different, therefore, the cooking time may vary. You'll know it's ready, when it turns golden, keep an eye on it because you don't want a burnt granola.
Once removed from the oven, let it cool. Once cooled down, I add the dehydrated fruit in the same oven tray. Put it in a jar and close well.
List of ingredients that you can add
- Chocolate Chips: If you are a chocolate lover, you surely need to add a little bit of chocolate into it, or a lot! Of course, wait for it to cool so that it does not melt.
- Dates: if you have dates at home, cut them into small pieces and add them after baking
- Citrus zest: add a teaspoon or two of lemon or orange zest to the mixture of agave syrup and coconut oil
