Hamburger Tacos, the best version of tacos
Beef tacos, chicken tacos, minced meat tacos, shrimp tacos... if it has the word tacos, whatever it is, I know I will love it. When I saw a video of Hamburger Tacos a few months ago, I knew that one day I was going to make my version of these tacos.
These tacos are a mix between tacos and a Big Mac, although it’s not "big", but it's the perfect combination!
A crispy tortilla with hamburger meat, melted cheese and a delicious hamburger sauce… it’s something you will never forget.
Ingredients you need to make these delicious Hamburger Tacos
You need very few ingredients to prepare these tacos that your family will fall in love with.
- Tortillas: you need about 8 small size wheat tortillas
- Minced beef: for this recipe you need 300 grams of minced meat
- Cheese: the best cheese you can use to make these hamburger tacos is sliced cheddar cheese, you'll need 8 slices, one for each tortilla
- Lettuce: cut some lettuce leaves into thin strips
- Onion: cut a medium onion into small pieces to add an extra crunch to these tacos
- Hamburger sauce: you need 3/4 cup of hamburger sauce, click here for the recipe
- Sunflower oil: use sunflower oil or any neutral oil to fry the tacos
- Salt and pepper: finally, use salt and pepper to taste
Kitchen utensils you need to make this recipe
You can prepare this meal in any kitchen, all you need is:
- Cutting board: a wooden board to cut the onion and lettuce
- Knife: a knife to chop the vegetables
- Frying pan: a non-stick pan so the tacos don't stick
- Kitchen paper: use kitchen paper to let the tacos rest once they come out of the pan so that it absorbs the fat
How to make the Hamburger Tacos
Making these Hamburger Tacos is much easier than you think
Take a tortilla and a handful of minced meat, crush the meat on top of the tortilla. The tortilla has to be covered with minced meat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
Put the tortilla with the meat side down for about 2-3 minutes in a pan with a good amount of hot sunflower oil. Cook over medium/high heat.
Then flip it around and lower the heat a bit. Adds a slice of cheese and covers the pan with a lid so the cheese melts and the tortilla gets golden and crisp on the bottom. Repeat with all the tacos.
Then add the lettuce, onion, pickles and hamburger sauce, and enjoy!

How will I know that the meat is cooked?
The taco has a thin layer of minced meat, the meat will generally take no more than 3 minutes to cook.
Can I reheat them?
It is not ideal, better prepare the tacos that you are going to consume at that moment. Because reheated they are not the same as freshly made.
For how many people is this recipe for?
With this recipe you'll make 8 Hamburger Tacos, if each person eats two tacos it´s for 4 people. If you have a large or very hungry family, better double the amounts.
